lyrics
i’m your summer girl cause i’m a girl in the summer sun haha
watch me
sweat til i pass out
and i always was a good girl so i behaved and got top grades
well now watch me
shred every book i ever read
you know, cause i believe in numbers, possibilities that intwine
yeah i’ll wait for the stars to align
and they say you can be who you wanna be
but i find it hard to be anything but me
yeah they say you can be who you wanna be
but i tried and it’s hard to be anything but me
and every morning when i wake up, you know i tell myself!
that i’m a normal person cause i don’t act out
on
every
single
weird impulse i get
well now watch me hold it in
til i pass out
yeah watch me hold it in
til i pass out
yeah watch me hold it in
til i pass out
yeah watch me hold it in
til i pass
Such good healing energy on this album. Perfect for recovering from surgery. Thoughtful, plaintive, free of kitschy standard rock moves.
Probably still good without the surgery. ;) spencer_huggies
I am a big fan of the Stooges. The Shits sound like if you took the Stooges and stripped out the psychedelic solos. Stripped out Iggy's vocals. Then replaced it with a hard core punk singer along with a heaping helping of nihilistic lyrics.
Been a blast listening to this band. KinoGhoul
Melodic alt-pop in the vein of Soccer Mommy is driven by winding guitar lines and augmented with dreamy shoegaze elements. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 14, 2021
another banger from a band and label you can rely upon. like math rock but softer than that - moth rock? maybe. there's a jerk and flutter to these songs, forever reaching into the light. gnarlier bass chunkiness than before too, but if you're lucky enough to get Oli Heffernan on the squad, you boost that signal. eldudowski
